When I first saw this long, dark galley kitchen, it was clear why the homeowners avoided it—they had even built an outdoor kitchen to work around it! The cramped layout not only made the kitchen unusable, but also disrupted the entire flow of their home.

My solution? Knock down the wall separating the kitchen from the living room. While the idea of “losing storage” initially made them hesitant, they trusted the process, and the results blew them away. The reimagined space not only gave them more storage, but also a bright, open, and social hub where their family now gathers effortlessly. With seamless flow restored, they’ve fallen back in love with their home.
